Welcome to our 28th episode and blog. This week we are in Tennessee, the home of Country Music and apparently a place that they will hang a elephant for murder.
Amber's story:
Country music is a big deal in Nashville and a big part of that is playing at the Grand Ole Opry. For David Stringbean Akeman, he knew he had made it when he was on the Opry stage. Stringbean was a crazy good banjo player and all around funny guy. So when he is murdered in his home during a robbery, all of Nashiville was shocked. I didn't mention this in the episode but it was also shocking to the community because the murderers where white men.

Celina's story:
When Channon Christian and Chris Newsom went out on Saturday night. They expected to get something to eat and meet up with their group of friends. A totally normal weekend night for a typical college kid. They didn't know that they were being followed by a group that would end up carjacking them and forcing them by gun point to go with them. Channon and Chris were then raped, tortured and murdered, just for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
