Idaho: Pocatello and Idaho Falls

Welcome back to the State of Murder Blog

Amber's Story:

On September 22, 2006, Cassie Jo Stoddart was house sitting for her aunt and uncle in Pocatello, Idaho. Like most teenage girls would do Cassie invited her boyfriend Matt and two friends Tory and Brian over to hang out that night to watch a movie. After her two friends left, the power would go out scaring Cassie and causing Matt to call his mother, to request that he be able to spend the night with Cassie. Matt's mother said no and came and picked Matt up from the house. The next day Matt tried calling Cassie but didn't hear from her. Two days later Cassie's aunt and uncle would return home and found Cassie's body covered in blood in the living room. The cops would look into the case and would find a murder that had been inspired by the movie Scream. Thus having the media dub this murder the Scream Murder.

Ok, so we have our first correction to make. When giving the fun fact for Pocatello, Idaho, Celina and I made fun of their new flag and not their old one. My apologies to everyone from Pocatello and the creators of both flags. Just remember that this is all opinion and not facts but the real fact is both are not great but the new one is maybe better than the purple fork mountains. Thanks everyone.
